Team Morlais Captain Ceirion Jones pays tribute to Alan Bush
It is with great sadness that we share the passing today of our past Club President, past Club Captain, and long time Club Trustee Mr Alan Bush.
A member for more than 50 years Alan was the inspiration and driving force behind everything Morlais Castle Golf Club has to offer today. His enthusiasm and determination to build Morlais Castle Golf Club from a 9 Hole Golf Course with a Shed into what is now a 18 Hole Championship Golf Course with a first class Clubhouse and facilities to match is a true testament to the great man he was.
Alan had a dream to put Morlais Castle Golf Club on the golfing map. A dream which became reality just recently, Morlais Castle Golf Club crowned 2024 Welsh Men’s Team Champions in August before going on to represent Wales at the 2024 European Trophy played in France just last month. Alan, a permanent fixture at both, tears in his eyes, proud beyond belief.
Alan worked tirelessly on behalf of Morlais Castle Golf Club and leaves a legacy that will be impossible to match. Words cannot describe what Alan meant to Morlais Castle Golf Club. He will be forever in our hearts and our minds.
Our condolences go to all of Alan’s family at this very sad time. RIP Alan.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped us deliver a fantastic weekends golf and I have no doubt that The Welsh Team Championships of 2024 will long be remembered as nothing short of a triumph.

European Men’s Club Trophy ⛳️
Tonight’s Closing Ceremony ended a great week for our club, Morlais Castle playing in Europe for the first time in its history.
We’d like to thank all 15 supporters for coming over to Bordeaux to watch Jack, Rhydian and Rhys play!
Although the golf didn’t go as we would’ve liked, it was still a great experience for everyone involved and everyone at the club is immensely proud of rubbing shoulders with Europe’s best talent🙌🏽
We’d like to thank everyone who contributed to the trip and all the support we’ve received since being crowned Welsh Team Champions, we are already looking forward to challenging for a spot in the European Men’s Club Trophy next year👊🏽
